take the next step into ministry leadership
In addition to our full-time ministers, UCC employs part-time graduate apprentices to lead and shape our ministries.
Graduate Apprentices are part-time, paid members of our ministry team. Our apprentices serve alongside the professional ministry staff to train and lead our student staff as they carry out the mission of the University Church every day. Graduate Apprentices help facilitate weekly team meetings with our student team leaders, monthly meetings with all the ministry teams, and regular training and support for our House Group ministry. A primary role of this position will be coordination of all aspects of House Group logistics. This position is perfect for someone looking to develop practical experience in a ministry or organizational leadership.
Compensation: work study & stipend from the University Church
Time commitment: 15-20 hours per week for 2 academic years
Please note: though our Graduate Apprenticeship is perfect real-life (and paid!) training for professional ministry, we do not require that our Graduate Apprentices be studying in the religion division. Students of any of Pepperdine's graduate programs are welcome to apply.
